Ordered a new muffler

Vibrant stealth #1149 - 3" in, dual 3" out.

Operation custom/budget/be different exhaust underway...

My theory behind this is that Y-ing into the muffler, then internally splitting to the 2 tips will essentially create a sound like Highline or Cross, seeing as both systems incorporate an X-pipe like design. The Highline system has a true X pipe on section 1, while the cross internally Y's off, then the single exit splits back to dual tips. I've always loved the sound X-pipe's put out. Some of e46 M3 systems remove the OEM H-pipe and change over to an X. Most other exhaust systems that keep the true dual all the way to the tips have a more muscle sound to them.

I'll take some sound clips once I get it in and installed. I've heard a lot of good things about Vibrant. I might sand down the tips eventually and polish just them out... maybe, I like the black canister though.

the placement of an X or H in the exhaust system is very important. I believe your concept of the X all the way back in the exhaust may be too far towards the rear to fully realize the benefits of an X/H system

It sounds awesome!! hahahahahahah

Little to no cabin drone at highway speeds (I have a 3.46 diff so my RPM's are higher then most), Deep, clean, bassy tone. Not overly loud at all. I'm hella satisfied! The whole project cost me just under $300. So.... GETTING SOUND CLIP NOW
