i really wanna do this intake setup on my facelift but i want it to fir without doing what you had to do to the undertray.. that temp sensor is gunna get ripped right off after a bump or 2 dont you think? did you end up using the velocity stack and is there a dyno after everything is on?

You'll have to modify it no doubt. The undertray needs to be shaved at those points and the brake duct cut in half. The good thing is that if you ever want to reverse back, those plastic pieces aren't that expensive. The sensor is actually very sturdy..I made sure of that. I drilled a 3/8 hole (I think) and the grooves of the sensor lock it in. I then applied a little jb weld and it's not going anywhere. My splitters are $200 a piece, I'm more worried about those lol.

I'm going to try and do a dyno this sunday.

yo Stav next time I see your car I want to hear the Magnaflow! I was thinking of doing it, unless I decide to do S54 swap this summer

Are you really thinking of doing that? Def do it if you have the $$, it'll be more worth it than a magnaflow lol.

Yeah I think that's my plan, started a penny jar hopefully by the summer I'll have enough. I'm already at 122k mi and I'd love to get a lower mileage S54 installed plus tranny and 3.62 LSD

So, if you had more flexibility, like if you were to make a custom pipe, do you think you could route it to fit without cutting anything up?

I can swap to halogens, (have them sitting around waiting even) but can't do any cutting, due to SCCA rules...

You most likely wouldn't be able to make the filter/velocity stack in there without modification, but the Dinan tube you could if you had halogens.

Update: Hood is painted and cf splitters are back on. I'm hoping to win best non-m at Eurofest next sunday, we'll see. Haven't had a chance to go for a dyno, I've been really busy and going on vacation next week for a month. I'll try and get 3 runs in next saturday!

Yup, no updates unfortunately. I'm in europe this whole month and I miss the car so much! I tried to get a freaking dyno before I left but the guy was booked all week....

I'm gonna be swapping my exhaust soon. I'm getting a little tired of the magnaflow to be honest. The sound is too much and I cant take the leaks.

I'm thinking full supersprint pipes with a rogue ikon muffler. It's expensive, but I've always loved supersprints quality.

Just go custom. You'll make more power.

Compared to your magnaflow, how loud is your costume?

Probably a trivial question

Louder. Quite a bit louder. One piece, no leaks

I love how it makes more power but with all that noise I cant enjoy it without getting pulled over

You can always put in a bigger muffler. I just have what I got from Miles. I've actually thought about cutting out the resonator and putting in a slightly larger Magnaflow. I think that'd do it.

Yep, sounds like a straight pipe.

Why do the open the trunk on the dyno? Our local shop doesn't do that....
