But when will you be done? That's the question I asked myself...sure I would love a dyno tune but it's a good chunk of money that I would only spend once I finish everything. In my case, getting the tune from Active was my best bet "in the meantime" until I'm finished with the car. Sure, I fronted a few hundred from the get go, but now anytime I get a new performance part, I can just have Viral tweak it for better results (while keeping it within my budget).

I felt the same way about cams though... I was thinking about them for a while. I held back a similar reason because I didn't know what direction I would end up in. Now it's more clear cut and I'll be getting as soon as I get the money!

This pretty much sums it up. I still have a couple more things in mind that I'm gonna work on.

I know how I can dump 50LBS, Im going on a diet... I couldnt justify dirting for the looks (already too sexy), for the health (takes discipline), but to diet for that extra proformance... Im stoked!

I have a certain point I want to hit before I have tuning done. At that point, there are a couple ways I can go. It also depends on how the year goes between me and the car. I still consider selling it at times, but I still really enjoy it. Either way, I'm going to install my damper, "finish" my exhaust, and get some sort of tune more aggressive than the Shark. We'll see what 2012 brings.

Good stuff Brady, hopefully you decide to keep the car so we can all see more progress. And you meant 2011...2012 is too long from now, the earth is gonna end!

The Dinan intake will be arriving tomorrow

I'm going to be buying a new filter. Dinan uses k&n but I might go with an AFE filter similar to this...

I'm going to test with a filter and velocity stack.

Edit: Something similar to AFE's intake? That's a really good idea!

I've been thinking of ditching the heavy heat shield in my AFe intake, and finding something or making something that's not made of metal. (and so lighter and less conductive) I'd also like to create a tube to suck in colder air, as that sounds like it does help, but I'm not sure the AFe's velocity stack would be functional at that point.

Your best bet would be CF. If you want something good pm Nachos23, he does amazing work for great money. Maybe he could make a mold of the AFE heat shield and turn it into a separate CF piece.
