Look into the throttle body. I know that if you make it bigger, you'll gain some serious top end. My car was walking the field at Daytona and it was all because of the throttle body.

I've got Dinan's TB already, I cant imagine anything bigger being better unless I were to do head work?

As that being the only mod? I do not see how that could be true.

I'm actually going to call it a wash. As others have said, the restriction wasn't the TB, it's the head. We'll see what happens when someone installs one with a better head. If I don't get my car sold, it'll be me (hopefully)

So this is what I have in mind with the intake:

BPI Velocity Stack Kit - http://www.bpinitiatives.com/assemblies.php

I've looked at dozens of Dynos and every single one I've seen proves these work. They show at least a 3-5 whp with just the stack ALONE. BPI will even refund your money if you do a dyno and dont gain anything. Looks very promising! I've seen a couple Audi's use them, but mostly JDM cars.

Yea thats why they say that the afe intake is so good because it uses a velocity stack. Although the dinan cai is supposed to already smooth out the air flow, i guess using both of them couldn't hurt. Maybe a dyno with and without could prove its value.

Nope, still just running the Shark. No tune until I get my exhaust fixed and get my damper on.

Yea i have heard that the cai smooths out the airflow since the tube is longer than a short ram intake

Maybe thats why you only got 1hp increase for the tb, i dont expect you to get 10hp from that single mod, but 1hp increase is a little sad.

Although i did notice my car seemed to rev smoother with the dinan tb installed.

If you get a filter that fits those stacks toss out the part number. I was thinking about having K&N make me an air filter that will house one of those stacks. In the same shape as the Dinan Replacement filter. That way I can still use the water sock! I looked into the measurements before but kinda tossed it aside.

ITG filters used on the conforti intakes incoporate this into their design aswell

Do you have a pic of this? I always thought they incorporated the velocity stack design into the intake tube or something.
