About my ccv kit

I just ordered it and I think I have everything except for the dipstick o-ring. Has anyone else had problems with them not sending the o-ring?

You should really buy the new upgraded dipstick. It was redesigned to have a single shaft. The old one has a souble which gets clogged.

Link for what - the dipstick?

You can check penkseparts.com or realOEM.com and they will list the updated part number. The old dipstick (double shafted) is no longer available. The double shafting was clogging and affecting the CCV plumbing.

At a minimum, if youre doing the CCV kit, you should thoroughly clean out the double-walled dipstick guide tube if youre not replacing it with the new one.

It's a black rubber ring, about the size of a small wedding band. Should have been included in Tischer's kit. If it's missing I'd give them a shout and have them mail you a replacement -

The only rubber ring I see is already attached to the pipe

just go to a hardware store and get one to fit. wont be more than $1. i personally reused my old one.

Yeah, right... And charge you 4.95 for handling and additional money for shipping.

Go to local BMW dealer and get it. It is VERY cheap even there.

OP - our shipping staff actually sent the o-ring out to you yesterday at no charge via UPS, and there should be a tracking # in your e-mail Inbox.

No shipping and handling was charged either, obviously, as this was an error on our part here

No, because they made a simple mistake and they will make things right at no additional cost.
