E46 Transmission Troubles????

I went to move my car out of the garage, as I rolled down the driveway I went over abit of rough hard packed snow, Now transmission wont shift into any gear on my 99 328i (Auto)..Anyone know what this could be from????

On my ZF I know there is some sore of shift linkage to the left side of the tranny. Its possible yours has a similar linkage that may have been damaged during contact. How hard did you hit the packed snow?

The 328i has a GM 5L40e transmission, not a ZF...

It will be a completely different part number.

Question: is the car in "park" right now...like, can you start it, just the shifter is jammed, or it's jammed in drive and it won't (obviously) turn on even?

Not sure # of shift linkage, Vehicle does go to park-Shifter isnt jammed, it just wont shift into drive, 1,2 ,3 or reverse.....Dont think I really bottomed out, but my driveway is very uneven with the hard packed snow/and ice...I usually never let it leave the garage during the winter, but my roomate took it a few blocks to run an errand, when he came back he said he was barely able to go anywhere.....so it sounds like it might have gotten worse in a matter of a day...
