Grammar. Punctuation. Sentence spacing.

You post is a nightmare to read, and I had to stop halfway through.

It's amazing to me that a non M E46 is such a beautiful car but the E46 M has never done much for me.

Ok here you go

228i: good on gas, descent power, to soft, not the best steering
M235i: great power, good Brakes, to Soft, not good enough steering
E46: less power, better everywhere else

I agree. Nothing beats the feedback of the E46. You simply cant simulate hydraulic steering. The power is lacking but the problem with the new cars is that you dont actually feel like youre ever going fast, due to the responsiveness. So Ive said this before. The real question is do you want to feel like youre going fast, or do you just want to go fast and not feel it?

Well im glad someone caught what i was trying to say

The new 2 series i find simply improved on what was missing on the e46 such as power, and fancy electronics but failed to recapture the best quality of the e46 such as steering feel, ride quality, road feel, engine noise, smoothness, body control, things of that nature

To me those things are more inportant than having a lot of power and fancy electronics

True. Sadly the direction cars are moving though. No one has real steering anymore. Instead they give it 'easy' steering in hopes to appeal to more people. Even porsche dropped the Manual on their GT3. Cars are heading downhill, away from the soul that I love so much in them. The E46 is probably the newest generation BMW Id ever buy, even though the power of the tuned 335i is appealing.

Ya it is unfortunate that cars are going downhill, but i cant imagine all this extra responsability towards being eco-friendly is helping but it is what it is

Il just make sure my bmw stays running strong and enjoy it, as it is the kind of car that is slowly being taken away from us

Power? The E46 has plenty of power for what we do, which is 95% driving normal roads, often in traffic. The 3.0L motor is very responsive, no need for more power or torque. Who are we fooling? This ain't NASCAR man. All this talk about increasing power is BS. What for? To burn more $4-per-gallon gas?

I never complained about the e46 power i was simply stating that in comparison to the 2 series it is down on power it doesnt mean the e46 needs more

Okay, but to say the E46 is "better everywhere else" is absurd.

Compared to the new 2 series (and most new cars in the same class), the E46 sucks on gas, brakes are okay at best, and standard OE suspension -if it still works right- is nothing special.

With right package the 2 series doesn't feel soft at all.

Well like i stated before, this is my point of view, your point of you of course will be different to mine but i simply have more confidence in my e46 than i would in a 2 series, dont get me wrong the 2 series is still a very nice car but i personally believe that the e46 is still a better car, if you believe other wise thats entirely ok

Everyone has there preferences and tastes

Personally, I think auto-makers are just distancing passengers too much from the travelling experience.

Nothing will ever compare with the raw traditional feel of a horse and carriage.
I've NEVER had a horse break down on me.
