Is this thing still for sale? Next time I'm up in OC, I'd like to take a look. I'm interested in buying

I thought that car sold on ebay, but I guess that fell through. Wish you were on the East Coast as I would love to see that car. I'm enjoying my wagon too much to seriously consider that sleeper.

i apologize to all as I should have been more clear on the pricing situation.

the winning bidder @ 17k was a flake which was a complete blessing in disguise. i was obligated to sell on ebay @ no reserve so the final bid would have been honored. this is in the past.

currently, i have a handful of solid offers in excess of 18k. in my mind, this establishes a market (albeit limited and very specific) for this type of car within the scope of our asking price.

my wife and i have decided to take our time in selling the car to ensure a premium on the sale and that the car goes to the ‘correct’ buyer. the car deserves nothing less. we thought about the money and time (AND MONEY) we have into this project and it simply does not make sense to proceed in ‘fire sale’-like fashion.

i'm a realist though and everything is negotiable. since a little more time is on our side, we will hold out for as close to $24k as possible.

thanks everyone for the enormous amount of interest and we hope the car goes to as loving a home as it came.

here is a link to the concluded auction. i'm not sure if it's possible to see that the winning bidder received an UNPAID ITEM STRIKE.

Get it featured in a magazine and have them add a shameless plug at the end and im sure it will go to the right buyer. I think Bimmer would love to feature such a build. Contact them now.

Going through so much expense, what is the rationale behind not throwing some M3 fenders, or M3 grills at least in the fenders?

still a beautiful car... it would be sold already if you had been willing to negotiate when I contacted you 5-6 months ago.
