Admit to some "RICE" mods you wanted to do once to your car.

I'm sure we have all been there. Got a car at 16 years old and wanted to "SUP" it up.

So admit it here now to some ridiculous mods you have done that now you look back and . Whether on your BMW or not.

I got my E46 when I was well in my 20's so I have left it pretty much stock.

I had a Pontiac Sunfire and whether it was rice or not, I tinted the entire car to limo black. It might of looked PIMP but you couldn't see %^&* at night.

Looked similar to:

I also put some of those fake HIDs on the sunfire.

When I got a new car, I gave that sunfire to my dad and he kept complaining about the midnight tint and how he could never see anything at night because of it.

Later on I got a New Beetle. And to tell you the truth 5 years later when I sold the car I had no idea why I bought such a "chick" car, but I was young 16 when I bought it.

I accidently scrapped the entire side skirt to the bare metal once when parking, so instead of getting it fixed at a body shop, I got these hideaous looking side skirts

And I also did a cool mod for very cheap. Vinyl eyelids. Similar to

Both these mods I quickly removed after a few months, or maybe a year.

Oh, I also got a EUROSPORT CAI intake. I looked cool whenever you looked at the engine but it was bad because in the summer, all it did was suck in hot air from the engine bay.

Besides these "rice" mods, I really didn't do anything too extreme.

I painted my tires green. That I did that haunts me every night, but when I see them in the morning, I always think they look great.

lol yeah.... HID's on a sunfire and a big fart can exhaust. Stuipd. I've got a K&N on my e46 also did an ECStuning on the rear side windows. But I like the tint on my E46, it's appropriate for a black car I think.

Back in 2000, I had a 1995 Acura Integra. I did a custom Supra Tail light conversion, 3 peice molded wing, JDM front with a custom Eclipse front bumper. At the time I thought I was the man. Now that I look back, really ricey. lol.

Well, My current E46 is my first car- at 15. Yeah, mad lucky. I lost my rice tastes at about 11, [Really.] but I AM thinking about getting a ZHP bumper kit [Currently ZSP] and pretty much upgrading my performance parts to ZHP spec as well. [Praise the Wiki God] ZHP pack wasn't offered on my Year/ Model 2001 325i ZSP. And I'm thinking about swapping all of my interior lighting with LEDs. And a CD changer. 2 Reasons, 1. Parents like older music [ can't DL them from ANYWHERE.] and I can also do a small DIY I saw here that would add an AUX in.

When I was 13 I bought some neon lights that lit up to the vibrations of the bass... I'd feel worse about it if I spent more than 7 bucks

I once wrapped my floormats in a blanket I bought in Tijuana. You know, those really colorful rainbow stripey ones? Yeah needless to say i tore them out a couple days later.

The only thing that comes to close "rice" I've done is swap out my aging OEM xenon bulbs for 6000K Philips Ultinons. I think E46 are extremely good looking cars when left stock, and refuse to add any dumb looking spoilers or whatever else people tend to throw on. Much rather keep my car well maintained and stock than have an annoying loud exhaust and flashy disco lights.

1st car was a 1990 Nissan 240sx, did a sr20det swap with a 3" straight pipe exhaust, the body was messed up and I was in the middle of fixing it so it became multicolored because of the bondo. On top of that it was gutted with no radio or a/c. This probably tops all of the riceness in here. Still loved that car even tho it holds the record for number of times getting pulled over, 3 times in 2 days just for the exhaust. It sounded like a transformer with the hks ssq bov.

I wrapped the hood of my GTI in Christmas wrapping paper. Tried to have some holiday spirit. Lol 10 minutes later the sprinklers turned on and wet the paper. Did it again the next day, got on the freeway and it unwrapped itself.

When I had an A4 I really wanted to replace my stock projectors with one of those Ebay sets with the "New Style Audi LED" strip.

You know.. that actually doesn't look half bad. I know those Audi's have really nice stock projectors though.

I had a Magnaflow 2.25" exhaust on my Civic that you could have called "rice", but the performance gain over stock was enough that I really didn't care. I also had "gunmetal" wheels with a polished lip on them, which looked OK, if I had the car again I'd go silver though. Otherwise, I think the mods on my cars have all been pretty tasteful

Here's the Civic in question, only pic I can find of it (I like to think my photography skills have improved with time too )... I still sort of miss this car.

So glad someone posted this tread! I'll confide... I wanted to install underbody lights to my car when I got my e36 328i! I never did... But I really wanted to. That was 9 years ago. I did some growing up since then. Haha
