I don't have cats, resonators, or anything besides a muffler, and I still get 300+ on one tank on my E36 M3.

Considering that cars are barley an impact on oil wont make any difference if you boycott or not. Buildings, factories, airplanes, ships, trains ect.. are the ones using the using the majority of oil.

you do realize that we get the majority of our crude oil from Canada and Mexico, right? Like, number one and number two on the list of who we buy oil from. I'm pretty sure Venezuela is in the top 5 as well. This will have little to no impact on the middle eastern petroleum exporting countries.

I think Americans have had it way too good for way too long... And yes, we do complain a lot, but hey, that's the "American way"...

The issue is not where the oil comes from... The issue is more about what oil futures are currently trading at... While you may see a slight difference in price per barrel for Canadian oil versus that from another producer, the increases (on a percentage basis) run in line regardless of the source.

Yes true. I just thought it was funny that the facebook group wanted to stick it to the middle easterns by not buying gas for a day.

the best thing that could probably happen is for Libya to have a long civil war. The rebels will need food, arms, and fuel. We can sell them all those, rack their debt up, then when they win extort them for cheap oil for several decades.

Given the spike in gas prices, I thought it was time to bump this thread.

This doesn't work unless you plan on not driving your usual miles. All you're doing is holding off the inevitable and the same money is going to be funneled in... just a day later. So even if all of America decided to hold off on filling up on a particular day, their profits still break even the next day.

Now, if you decide to not go out on the weekend and stay in for a couple months (this has to be done in mass) thus reducing your fuel usage, THEN you might make an impact. Otherwise, this plan sucks. And I guarantee it didn't do sh!t last year.

With that said, FVCK THESE PRICES! 10-15 fvcking cents over night? Gotta be fvcking kidding me!
FVCK! <---(for good measure)

It's nuts man....gas prices went up about $.50 from last week. I paid $4.35 to fill up last week and just filled up at $4.85.

I luckily filled up last week at 4.15 (premium) and I still have half a tank... not looking forward to next week when I have to fill up again

It cost me $90 to fill from a quarter tank roughly. Gas here is almost $1.60 a litre so $6 a gallon approx. I miss the days where it cost $60 to fill up my tank

Just paid $58.33 to fill up from 37 miles remaining. It estimates 402 miles, when leaving the gas station.

Knowing how the current government works, we will give them guns and aid for free and then get screwed by them in some way anyway.

Set up a Carpool, ride a bike or take the bus boycott gas week and that may do some damage and get some publicity.. This is just stupid.
