E46 center support bearing

How hard Is it to replace the bearing on the drive shaft, mine acts up and makes a loud noise though the floor when it gets very cold out, no vibration just a howling sound... I bought a new one from online a genuine bmw part... mind you I have basic tools, and car ramps and a floor jack.... not to be sexist about things but can a girl like me do this repair in her driveway... or must I pay the shop to do it..

Have you looked for any DIY videos or guides? You may find a DIY thread on the forum to give you an idea if it's something you would feel comfortable doing yourself.

If you think you can change front brake pads, you probably can do the center support job.

I think I can do it, just I don't have a lift, only ramps and a floor jack, think since it's freezing cold out. I'll just pay my shop a visit and let them handle it, if it was warmer weather I'd attempt it.. I can brakes, oil changes, it's the more major things that I can't do or have the strength to do on my own

That sounds like the best idea, I did my CSB myself but I have a lot of corrosion underneath, and that made my driveshaft very difficult to separate. Also, you must put the driveshaft halves back together on the exact same splines or it will make your driveshaft imbalanced. I hope you have a shop that knows what they're doing!
