Custom fit aftermarket navigation system for E46?

http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-3-E46-7-Zoll-...item2a02923965

Have any of you all seen anything like this? It looks like the best fitting aftermarket navigation system ever built for the e46. Looks so good I am calling it a scam until proven otherwise.

you can't really call it a scam until it is proven it is a scam... it does look good though and i don't see why it wouldn't work, the technology is there to make such things. if it was somewhere where i can touch and play with, i would buy it.

Wow - if that thing is real that would be a fantastic option.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there."

"Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.”

”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.”

Extra Credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3"
not "I'm looking for a M3".

I know it says FM, but aren't the frequencies a little different "over there?" I always thought they were off somehow, and our radios don't pick up their stations, and vice-versa...

Or, I could be wrong...

When I moved I brought my home entertainment tuner. The main difference was it stopped at more intervals than the one I later bought here did but it picked up the signals just fine.

You might have problems with AM Radio which seems to work differently in Europe but if you are like me I never listen to AM radio anyway so who cares? This still seems to good to be true and I can't find it anywhere else? Has anyone ever heard of or seen anything remotely resembling the above?

edit: Could someone who knows German really well give us a gist of what this thing is describing? Also I can't seem to find a manufacturer on the page which is what made me suspicious in the first place.

Following is a link to a Babel Fish translation of this site. The translation is a little weird so you'll have to figure parts of it out.

Babel Fish translation of this site

Not sure if this seller will ship to the US, or if this unit will even work correctily in a car made for the US.
And they ship 30 days after receipt of payment. Sounds a little BabelFishy...

why wouldn't it work for a car[bmw] made in the US besides maybe the maps...if anything, for aftermarket HU, we have to buy a stupid antenna adapter..but maybe since this is from europe, we won't need one =]

woah, that's sick. It's dual zone apparently, meaning that the driver and the passenger can see different images off the same screen.

You don't have to hack up your A/C vents and modify valves etc. behind your a/c vents in order go get it go fit for starters........

And the price is right in line with the Pioneers BTW.

Someone find out!!!!! I'll be in Denmark for Christmas.

I asked the seller in terrible German if he had more photos and what the manufacturer was to which he replied he did not have more photos (I think i could be wrong but it sounds fishy) and that the manufacturer was Hersteler Hi-Fi?

Might simply be so they have time to fab the fascia. I would of thought it was built to order.

Yeah, I asked him the same. I don't think it's a scam, so I'm not afraif of that, but I'm curious about the quality and how user friendly it is.
