auctions are not what they used to be. The internet has really hit them hard as it has created outlets such as eBay and Craigslist for dealers to wholesale cars out. It's tax time now, so remember that auction prices are going to be up since dealers are hungry for inventory.

it is illegal. it's taking money away from dealers.. you can call us *******s as much as you want, but when you go grocery shopping do you not pay a mark up for the food you get? or when you buy anything for that matter you should get it for the same price as the seller? no it doesn't work like that, everyone needs to make money, or else they'd be out of business. somehow everyone has managed to convince themselves dealers are jerkoffs cause we have to mark up a price, but apparently you people don't understand what profit is. theres plenty of auctions around for the public, stop taking from our lifestyle. i'm plenty sure i'll get bashed for this but fvck it

It happens all the time, there are still way more than enough people buying cars at dealers so its not going to affect you in any way. Oh and btw, i work at a dealership also.

i'm at manheim every tuesday and wednesday, i'm just tired of getting out bid by goddamn retailers, its next to impossible to buy a car there anymore even if its red light. the only time its good is when i have some stupid retailer bidding in my lane.

If you have the dealer license, can't you bring one guest? I heard you could and was just wondering.

In past you could, but now Manheim auctions are becoming strict, because of theft and other issues.
Some auctions will let the guest in, but the guest would have to sit in cafeteria.
I have access to adessa as well. One of the best auctions I have to say. Unlike Manheim, Adessa allows dealers to test drive their vehicles.
