Hi Everyone, I have a question about the Dice Duo. I install it tonight on my 05 330i with navigation. Everything seems to be working but I've noticed two things that didn't seem right to me.

1. When I change songs there a delay. The music stops for 1/2 a second, resumes, and then changes tracks.
2. The scrolling text is taking over my navigation. I can't make any changes to any nav menus, settings, or turn off the screen.

Can someone confirm this is normal? If this is how the Duo works, are any other units any better?

Where does the confusion come from?? Go to the site, enter your car model, decide if you want bluetooth or not then select the appropiate DICE unit, select the correct answers from the drop down menus, then finish your order.

Droid is not supported unless you are A2DP streaming (Bluetooth). Here's the kit you need:

DICE - MediaBridge iPod/iPhone Multimedia Hub for e46 3-Series/M3 (Trunk Interface)
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=3544

Be sure to choose the Bluetooth option, everything needed is included.

I installed the Dice DL-1002 to my 2001 E46 about 4 years ago. The Ipod I've been using with it is about 6 + years old. (One of the first generations???). It's so old, I've changed the ipod battery once already, and the second battery is so dead now, I can barely load songs on it from the laptop. Ready for a new ipod (only).

Question - I want to upgrade just the IPOD. Which Ipods are compatible with this Dice unit (with no other changes or add-ons)?

I tried a smaller and new Ipod (nano?) recently, but the steering wheel controls didn't all work as they did with the older Ipod.

Thanks !!

Considering the Specdock, will it work with my DICE system, 2000 323i sedan, ipod hooks up via DICEin the Glove compartment.

We do not recommend ashtray docks as they add no additional features to the kit.

The included docking cable is all the DICE needs.

I want something that will secure my ipod which currently just slides around and bumps into items I have in my glovebox. Something secured would be nice, maybe to roof of glovebox or drivers side of glovebox???

After posting on the Dice FB site, I've been waiting a week for a promised firm ware file to be mailed to me.
The firmware updater will not update my new Duo. Can anyone tell me the file location for the latest firmware, I'll do a manual update.

I am in the process of possibly buying and Aux cable and I want to know, what is the difference between the two? They both work well with the iPod correct?

AUX is merely an audio input, while DICE is a true integrated solution.

I was looking into buying a duo as well. I was given a siriusXM onyx unit for xmas and I also have an Iphone4. I own a 2000 323i with the business cd. I was wondering how it would interface with both my iphone and the aux output on my sirius box. Any thoughts? I was originally looking for a head unit that would work for both but to have it professionally installed is ridiculous price was so the duo self install looks like a much better option.

I just picked a couple of these up from EAS and while the integration is good, it takes 1 sec to scroll browse from one song to the next. Not much, but it seems like a lifetime in our fast paced world today. That said, once you're over that, it works pretty well. My only issues now are the interference noise (which I'm going to try unrolling the cabling in the trunk) and my big one...cant seem to get good equalized sound. All Hi's and Lo's seem to be coming out all at once, all at the same level, and I dont have much music on my iPod that not direct CD rip or iTunes purchase, so I'm really at a loss for what to do to make it sound like a digital player should. I have an HK system, so I dont know if that makes a difference. I've placed a help ticket into Dice with no answer since 1/5/11. Been trying to touch base with EAS as well...I fear I may need to return this thing. Listening to jazz all muffled out is not my idea of a good way to spend $400 scratch.
