Cheers for comments guys, for a Diesel it does go very well!! Might treat it to getting some more power out of it soon.

I toke the car to BMW today as one of the lines on the heated rear screen was not working. Now i thought you could replace the rear screen on the canvas top? Anyway BMW came back to me saying i need a new roof! As the car is still under BMW warrenty of course i will be having what they say as would be nice having a new top. But seems a little drastic lol.

Anyone on here replaced a rear screen?

Hi all,
I've only had mine for a few months and just returned from a trip to Queensland and managed to get out the same day as the deadly flood that hit Toowoomba and Brisbane...20 dead according to the latest figures.

Anyway I haven't got the photos handy, wife has the camera and she's on another trip teaching my son to drive...4WD Patrol not the Bimmer...

So what does everyone use to lube the roof folding mechanism to get rid of the squeaks, is there any issue with using silicone spray as long as you don't get any on the underside of the cloth top, I gather that would cause a stain that could be difficult to remove...

Graeme

Hey Guys,

Just found this thread. I got my 04 330 6 speed about a month ago, its my first e46 and we love it! have a leaking tensioner cylinder i am replacing, but I am having a hard time taking the trunk apart to access the Hydraulic reservior. Does anyone have a DIY in getting the trunk liner out? Has anyone replaced the cylinders and have any tips? I do have the Convertible PDF, but it doesnt give any insight to accessing the fluid.

Thanks,

Nick

Take out the tray and there are just a couple of expansion rivets. I had mine out to check the fluid level, was pretty easy.

Section 51 shows the parts,

I posted this elsewhere on this site, but got no answer. I should've come here instead.

Anyone know of a mod or other way to put a cupholder in the back seat?

Thanks!

I thought the vert back seats WERE cupholders. I know of no adults with legs that can actually sit back there

Discourage back seat passengers by leaving your slipstream deflector in all the time
