Do you guys know if verts suffered the same subframe issues as our coupe counterparts?

I've heard and read conflicting things. Some say yes, some say no and I'd like to get a definitive answer.

A food forum but not a vert forum is bull$hit.

I've heard so far that we were reinforced coming out of the factory weighing the several hundred pounds more. I've taken my car to the dealership @ 61/62K miles with no subframe damage..

Maybe everyone should post if they've had subframe damage when they got it checked for the recall.

I was told that I don't have subframe damage by my mechanic but want to confirm whether it's because verts dont get subframe damage or if i'm just lucky (for now)!

No Subframe Damage

I had mine inspected by my dealer,Open Road BMW in Edison. Though I had no damage, I would imagine that if Verts were not included, they wouldn't have wasted their time or mine doing the inspection.

But, maybe they can bill out the time to BMW, so I'm not certain.

Yes, they can. Also, the cutoff date for BMW-paid repairs is ten years after production, so don't wait too long if you think you have subframe issues.

YMMV.

I need front control arm bushings.

Should I stick with stock? I'd like to use M3 bushings, but I don't want a bone-jarring ride.

Nice car. Those are the coolest oem e46 wheels.

Do the Powerflex bushings amplify cowl shake? They're urethane, right?

Just got her back on Saturday afternoon after not having her for almost the entire winter. I had her out all day and spent some quality time with her

Bro I didnt think ski pass subs sound good until I got mine done. Wow what a difference. Im only running one 8 inch sub and it hits hard and clear. If youre ever up in NY or at a local meet check mine out.

I had a bunch of pictures of my car taken today at the Liberty State Park meet. As soon as I get them Ill PM them to you. If you want hard bass then go with the kicker L7. I had a memphis sub and amp installed and its perfect. Its not like one of those trunk banging setups that will make everything rattle. It hits and blends with my highs and mids just perfectly.
