Look for color match bumper reflectors and go for clear side markers.. would look much better. might spend $60 for both

Velvy went through several transformations...
FYI, she is currently for sale as per the link in my signature.

Here are several pictures of the evolution...

I have been parting her out and this is how she currently sits...

Good to hear. Weekly meets? That's pretty awesome. We have a 310 meet going once a month right now, but we also roll to the 562 meet. We've got a great group here so I'm enjoying it all!

The weather has been pretty good so we've been rolling topless as often as possible.

i've been wanting to put it on for a drive for the last week or two. i think the visibility is better than the ragtop, but nothing beats topless!
Just add safety straps. I don't have a hard top for my vert, but I do have a hoist for my truck cap. I built the hoist myself. It uses steel cable instead of rope (cap is approx 400 lbs). The winch itself is kinda cheap (quality & price), and I don't trust the ratchet. I use four pinch-buckle type tie down straps to provide a safety backup for the hoist before parking the truck, or anything else under the hoisted cap. If the hoist fails, or is even inadvertently unlocked, the straps hold the cap.

Looks great! My vert is the same color as yours, and I have the same wheels on my 2000 323iT.

What is the proper operation of "comfort access" on an E46 vert?

When I press and hold the unlock button on my key, all windows open, and the top unlatches from the windshield, but doesn't move beyond that. On my E46 touring, the widows all open, and the sunroof opens. The first time I did this on my vert, I almost didn't notice that the top had unlatched. This could have been bad had I drove off that way

Thanks!
Jay

After having driven some BMW diesels on your side of the pond, I'm a fan. I wish BMW would sell more of them here. 30-40% better fuel economy, lots of low end torque, and good power all around, what's not to like. I'll take a 320d wagon, and a 330d vert please!

Your car is perfect.
Wish I had it. So much so that I've essentially converted my car into a ZHP, minus wheels and cams.

Why thank you!

When I started looking for my vert, I didn't know they built ZHP verts. I actually thought they were only available as sedans (test drove one in 2003 when the sedan was all that the ZHP was offered on). I wish they made a ZHP wagon -- maybe I'll make my 323iT into a 330iT ZHP!

Anyway, when I saw a few ZHP verts for sale, I decided that was what I wanted, and waited for one with lower mileage at the price I wanted. I could have picked up an M3 vert for about $4-5k more, but didn't want to have to pay for the maintenance and repairs over the long term. Many M3-specific parts cost 3X what regular 3 series parts cost. I'm very happy with the ZHP.

You should definitely keep what you got, 'cause, as you said, it is practically a ZHP now anyway -- looks great too!
