Check your regionals section of the forum. Someone may currently offer coding services. If you cant find anyone, post a thread there and Im sure someone local can do it.

Alright thanks, well if it doesnt fit all the way in an Escalade I doubt it'll fit in either of my suvs. ill just rent a trailer from uhaul and hitch it.

Hey,

Those wanting the "automatic" top feature, check out this thread. You can do this for less than $50. It can be installed in about an hour. I use this all of the time. I think it's better than the Euro feature in that you don't have to stay by the car with your finger on the fob (key). You just trigger the device by "unlocking - locking" or "locking - unlocking" the number of times and you can walk away. You're fooling your car into thinking you're using the convenience feature using your key in the driver's door lock.

Mike

Do you have the hardtop install kit on your car already? It may be easier to just put the top on your car and transport it like that.

No. Unfortunately I dont . Gotta buy that as well. They are just the sockets for the top to lock into, correct?

Anyone have one for sale on here?

I dot think we need our own section. A thread is good enough (probly a sticky is better for our top problems etc...) Xi's have their own sectio because they are awd and are somewhat different than regular rwd. My .02.

Point taken, but I've been driving Audi Quattros for years, still do and also member of Audiworld.com for that same amount of time. They do not have a stand alone quattro section for any of their models except the allroad. But they do have and audi 80/90/cabriolet sub-forum. But hey ..doesn't hurt to ask for one here..

I'm thinking about taking out the motor for the top, and ditch some weight. I'm starting to look into a way to make it so that I can do it manually, and close the top with the button. My left cylinder busted, and I hate the weight.. This might be an alternative for me, since I wouldn't mind doing it manually, and the car won't be leaving my hands due to a family contract.

Opinions?

PS: Welcome to all of the new additions to this thread. Hope we can make this a strong one, and the basis for our own sub-forum.
