Hardtop for convertible

Hi all
Have just purchased a hard top for my 320 and on close inspection I find that
one of the electrical connectors on the locking pins is broken, does anyone have any idea where I can obtain a replacement. The complete pin/connector is available from BMW, but I only want the electrical connector as the pin is fine.

Look on realoem.com and see if there is a separate part number for the thing you need. If not, then you will likely have to buy what the dealer has for ya.

The chances of finding someone parting out one of these is pretty rare... But i guess it would not hurt to search around some more....

my neighbor was helping me w/it went to my bench and got some offbrand super type glue on the ring that was broken-FIXXED.
the dealership wasn't happy though. they had big plans to sell me the part!

Great minds think alike! my connector ring has broken into 3 sections and unfortunatly 1 part has been lost. I have used plastic metal to fix the 2 remaining parts and build up the missing section its working but for how long?
Many thanks for your reply

Thanks for the suggestion George, have checked them out and find that they are
quoting the same price as the main dealers here in the UK. Have made a temporary fix for now but am resigned to having to buy the complete assembly.

no, we just put super glue on it and it held but it was broken in one place, therefore the connection was not continuous.
i'd be interested in hearing what you find on replacement parts because each time i put my hardtop on i'm ready for a failure of this part.

^ hercesq71. You likely won't get a response. This thread is from 2011 ! You must've done a SEARCH. Good boy.
