Just found out about this group, but not sure how often I could meet up with a 2 yr old. I am trying to remove the dreaded abs module(6759047) without taking the pump off and introducing any air into the brake system. I am having a hard time getting to the top torx bolt and don't have the tools/software to properly bleed the brakes if I start removing brake system components. Anybody in the Richmond Hill/Savannah area willing to help out with software and possibly having to bleed my brakes if need to go that route? OR, are there any Indy shops you guys trust to do the job at a reasonable cost? Thank you for the help!

Thank you Patton, I appreciate the offer to help and I recently requested to join the group on Facebook.

Critz BMW confirmed the control unit needs to be replaced. A local indy shop is recommending to replace it with a new part with labor around $1600. He seems like a good dude, master tech, and doesn't want to go used because he feels it could cost me labor/parts again in the near future. I am debating on how much longer I am going to keep this car and looking around the internet for a low mileage replacement part. I would still need the software to get a used part programmed.

Well that sucks. Depending on whats wrong with your ABS unit, you may consider sending your unit to Module Master for an attempt at repair.

http://modulemaster.com/rebuilds/

$300 is a hell of a lot cheaper to repair the ABS than the cost for a brand new one.

I think this is the one you want specifically:

Thank you again! With some help from someone with alot more mechanic experience, the Control Module was taken out last night and I sent it into BBA Reman today. They quoted $250 plus shipping. So far if all goes well with the rebuild and installation, we will not need to bleed the brakes or reprogram/recode. This is the one:
