khoalty clear corners?

Hey,

Looking to get clear corners for my 2001 330ci.

What's the deal with these (reviews)

http://www.khoalty.com/bmw-e46/light...er-lights.html

I'm looking to get the "halogen chrome" for the clear look.

Also the 01's slide in? i thought they used a screw on the side?

Also which light bulb do i go with.

Thanks fellas.

I got the smoked slide-ins from them along with these:

Chrome / Amber Halogen Turn Signal Bulbs - 7507 Chrome Amber (CA7507)

They fit and look great. I'm very pleased.

Got these in the mail today..

smh what a disappointment, they don't even fit.

First the bulb holder did not connect to the oem signal plug.

So i used the oem one which had a clear blub so i tried putting the bulb from the kit in and it also didn't fit the oem bulb holder.

I decided to use clear oem bulb and oem bulb holder and place it into the new clear corners.

now comes the horrible fittment, they don't even fit! the whole shape is different, the clips dont even fit in properly.

There'e is a huge gap in the front, i tried fitting these every way but just won't fit.

Guess I'm too late. I was going to say pass on these. I bought smoked and the smoke color faded. They don't fit well and leak. Now they have cracks in them so I'm going back to stock and having them blacked-out

Nah it's the right ones for 01 coupe slide in.

Everything is just off on them, they dont slide in perfect like the OEM's do and like they're suppose to.

I have even tried modifying the clips and cutting them down to match the OEM but don't fit. Waste of money

Does anyone recommend a different and better brand that actually fits.

Thanks.

Have you tried contacting Khoalty? Since you went and cut the lights, I doubt they'll take them back now.

I bought the Clear Depos from Bavauto along with a few other parts and they slid in perfectly. Good fit and finish. The ones I got are for a facelifted sedan and these had the one screw. First one went in perfect second one seemed to be of but after pulling it out completely and reinserting 2-3 times it lined up right. I'm very happy with them. Only paid around $50 or so for them.

Everyone sells the same corners from DEPO. There isn't any other corners out on the market right now. For the slide in corners, all you have to do is just pull out your headlight, slide the corner in and it will fit like OEM. This is a trick we found out after we install them on our personal cars.

Nothing that is plastic last forever, UV rays from the sun will take a beating on anything and it will fade due to time, OEM fades as well.

I had two sets of smoked corners from Khoalty with solaris invisibulbs (chrome) both interior housings melted. Bought them back in Aug car sat in garage all winter started it up in march got a bulb out error. Corners were melted again contacted Khoalty they said only 30 days on parts. I'd go with Jlevis's corners they are most likely made better and they back up their products.

EDIT: I just checked my corners. Unturned the bulb holder(was oddly tough) visually I can see the white holder is getting deformed from the heat of "Khoalty's" chrome bulbs I bought only a month and a half ago.

I had the same problem with the Depo corners and chromed bulbs. The chromed bulbs seem to generate more heat and melted and warped the interior housing around the socket area, before burning out. I replaced them with amber bulbs, and haven't had that problem since, but now I have that egg yolk look.

This is way i try to go OEM everywhere i can....

All these aftermarket companies need to put more effort into making QUALITY products and putting more effort into them.

I mean if you cant replicate a product that is already proven to work perfect than i dont know....
