Help - What do these SRS codes mean?
Hey guys and gals,
Need some help with troubleshooting air bag codes. Got the dreaded air bag light on my wife's 02 325i, just in time for a state safety inspection, of course . Pulled the codes with a BavAuto reader and reset. The light comes back on after about 3 seconds. The codes at first were 04 08 50, table 04, code 08 = Firing circuit, side airbag, rear right side and table 04, code 50 = supply voltage. I disconnect battery, remove door and such check the circuit condition with a meter through the plug, all seems good. Reconnect, recheck the codes. Now, I get a table 04, code 08. I was hoping it was the front passenger airbag, as there are a lot of threads on that. Haven't found anything through the search forum function nor google on these codes or the side rear airbags. Bentley's hasn't been that helpful either. Is there measurable current on the airbag circuit that I can look for? Is there a way to further isolate this? Any thoughts on where to look next? Many thanx in advance, __________________ Dan Northern Virginia -- Former Volvo Enthusiast |
