Here's me at 16 years old...I know I know I look young. First deer and first buck at that. But these TC muzzleloaders can pack a punch.

Not even mentioning the efficiencies of larger countries.

As divided as this country is, at least we are one.

here is another video off my trail camera. This young 8-point buck freshens the scrape that is there EVERY year. I've hunted off this stand for 10+ years now (when we moved my stand here from roughly 75yards away in the woods) - and they always dig it up in this same spot...

This was from last week:

I've got a TC .50 cal Muzzle, as well.....I've never shot it, though. I imagine it to have a hell of a kick.

The recoil isn't bad simply because the rifle is so dang heavy!

Do you eat dove? I get conservation hunting for pretty much any other animal mentioned other than doves.

And if shooting rats and stuff, is that called hunting or just "elimination of pests"?

Yeah, people eat doves, although you have to shoot a bunch of them. A dove breast is about the size of a silver dollar.

Saw a monster buck this morning on my way to work. Then again I see quite a few deer every morning because I drive an hour on semi back roads at 3am. Today was probably one of the largest I had seen though. Rolling with a group of about 10. Only buck I could tell though.

TSR6 when are you going to kill one of these deer? Isn't hunting season in WI only about a week long?

Starts this weekend...

I've been checking the camera every couple of weeks though. I was out there this past weekend making sure my Shorthair Pointer wasn't gun-shy, so I swapped memory cards out quick...

We'll see if I shoot one this year. I didn't last year, but shot a real nice one the year before.. I'm a little picky, as we normally get enough meat out of our group anyways...

Some pictures from my ranch down in the Ozarks. Nothing worth shooting at and the weather wasn't any help. But with gun season for WI starting this weekend hopefully things will change.

Might be a stupid Q but aren't you guys afraid of hunting where as someone else might shoot you by accident ? My old boss used to go hunting religiously, even brought back dead deers to the office ... Mind you, I live in NYC.

your supposed to wear bright orange... even this time of year when I am out in the bush shooting photos, I wear my orange NF jacket and orange toque so I don't get mistaken for an animal.
