Yea everyone has to wear orange some countys are different and some have certain percentages of orange you have to wear plus your license on your back. Im not sure how it all works on public land.

I hunt on private land. But everyone I hunt with we know where everyone is.

Regaurdless you should always wear orange. I mainly wear 50% orange. and when its warmer its more like 30%.

Yes. Almost all animals.

Many different weapons.

Started hunting around age 6.

Because Texas.

It's in the back of my mind - but never a "big" concern. Trust the folks you hunt with, let them know where you are, know where they are. Wear the proper blaze-orange as required...and it should be a safe outing.

THANK YOU -- Years ago, hunting in IL - I had someone ride a horse through the property I was hunting on. BEST IDEA EVER. It was a brown horse. They were NOT wearing orange. I about got down and chewed their asses out for this dumb move.

...not in WI. Dogs can only be used for tracking purposes, not the pursuit of game. I don't even think you can carry a firearm if you have a dog in the woods. (not 100% sure)

50% of clothing above the waist, and at least 50% of your hat need to be orange for WI. Normally I actually wear close to 100% orange ( I have chest-high pants & my jacket ) to keep me warm on cold days. On warm days I just wear the jacket & hat.

That 50% rule is in place for those camo-pattern "beak-up" orange jackets and such...

He is marking his territory. Deer have scent glands in the corner of their eyes.. much like our tear ducts. They wipe that on trees to put scent down to claim their area...

I'd have shot him....but that video was taken a week ago Monday before the season opened. It was 8:00am. Had that been the following Sat, I'd have been there to shoot him...

It's a 10 or 11 for sure.... 10 at minimum. The brow tine splits off several times on the buck's left side. There is also a small sticker point. I can't say they're all "official" 1" points, but it appears they pass the "hang a ring on it" test...

When I load it into Adobe Premiere at full size, it's easier to see.

Oh okay. Maybe just hard to see. I don't know a lot about hunting so I wasn't sure if I was missing something. Thanks.

It's a buck that I would consider to be a "main-frame 8" - meaning with his structure, he's likely be an 8ptr. However, Like I mentioned - he's got some other goodies.

Here's another (and likely the last) deer video for 2012.

I clipped a lot of my videos from this year together into one video.

Yeah I wear 50% solid orange up here in oregon. And the same down in the ozarks unless it gets warm then I'll just have a light vest to only covers 30% of my upper body.

It was a bit cold on sunday.

My brother-in-law got a 6 pointer a few weeks back.

Unfortunately I couldn't go this year

Maybe we'll get out during muzzleloader season and I can finally shoot the .50.
