Here is my set up:
- MH1 6.0, 3Five H1 4300K, Denso OEM Toyota Ballast

Old Depo P46

I think I need to make a little more adjustment to make it perfect. So far I'm pretty happy with it.

Jake those CBIs look very nice.

I kind of want a similar set up for my 05 325xi, at least color wise since I am thinking of ordering the v2s at 6000K

Thanks.

I love those bulbs so much. Well worth the money. When you look at the lights head on they do look a bit yellow but the output is white. I'll take a pic tomorrow.

it would look even better if we had a better OEM projector. i put it in the FX-R i had. it was great. but then i put it in the OEM FX i had, so much better lol also, in the OEM TSX projector, it's great. but all of those projectors are about width of the beam. i like the e46 since it goes for light down the road vs. width

Yea, our projector's not the best but for distance it's very good. I really can't complain. All I know is in two weeks I will put my lights to the test...

Awesome, they will get brighter with more hours put into them. Seeing the line-striping on the road and grass light up is pure sex

lighting upgrade

Big thanks to solidjake and his video.

MH1 Mini Projector upgrade
3five Ballasts 4300k Bulbs
LES tails
LED Angel Eyes

I made brackets out of aluminum plate and pop riveted them to the location where oem ballasts mount. Used the can-bus harness from TRS. NO-Issues

Looks tidy and stock.

Using "Philips" 5800k/6000k Ultinon (Don't ask if they're real... ) from Umnitza.

Will upgrade to some CBI's when budget permits...

Quick question for the guys who do not have the OEM Ballast.... My oem ballasts are 9 years old.
Carlos from TRS (awesome people - Zach, Andrew, Carlos, etc.) told me they usually last 6-8yrs and I am now looking for options. Should I go with OEM ballasts or Denso or Morimoto?

Also, I have heard that Denso/Morimoto ballasts don't really settle where the current oem ballasts sit, is this true?

Just needed some input before I decide on what to order and also trying to see which of the 3 mentioned above is best. Keep in mind, I have Osram CBIs.

Clear lens, shield, and bulb

I did a zkw rep lens swap and rv sheild mod to a set of bosch projectors out of a gti (same as al) and had a nice blue cut off. Cant wait to do this to my e46. I was sad when they looked nicer than my fxr retro in my e30 haha.
