Did it include a splicer? You put it around the wire and squeeze. Sketchy I know :-p

I was overwhelmed with the wires at first too- but look at that fastm guide. it's a quite distinguishable wire.

Don't tap the wire, exposed copper will corrode. If you use a pair of needlenose pliers you can bend the male connector into a slight U shape. Then you can squeeze it right into the harness connector that the red/white/gold wire is connected into. It will be a very tight fit but makes great contact. Finish by using plastic ties to attach the aux wire to the red/white gold wire so that it cannot pop out. If you need a photo - email me. For the footwell aux wire on the passenger side you will need to tap the wire going to the light. - solder and tape. It is protected in the cabin however so less likely to corrode as fast.

Also, no need to loosen large ground bolt. There is a spare 10mm threaded hole just below it - just find a 10mm bolt and attach the ground there.

Wires in and out of a car are exposed to elements (humidity, condensation etc.) moisture in the air will cause exposed copper to corrode - even in the e-box.

I tapped mine to a wire in the e-box. The e-box is not exposed to the elements.
