Suspension Questions

Hey do any of you know if there is a difference in suspension for the 2003 z4 3.0 and the 2003 e46 330i? If nothing is different would that mean I would be able to use an e46's coilover set?

The E85 struts and shocks are more expensive and have different part numbers.

So would that mean they wouldn't work if you swapped applications? Because I found a set of springs that is made for the E46, but it says that it can fit the E85. This stumped me, why spend the additional money to buy an E85 set if an E46 is exactly the same.

i'm pretty sure both suspensions have the same fitment of parts but obviously the Z is much lighter. any quality manufacture of shocks and spring would take this into consideration and adjust valving/spring load accordingly. if someone sells a kit that could be used in either vehicle its probably junk.
