Nav screen stuck in 4:3 mode

hey guys, my nav screen is not dead...but i have a big problems that no forum to date has had a problem with that i have seen. i need your help guys.. my 2002 e46 has the widescreen display w/MKIII computer. I just changed the LCD because it was badly scratched. It was for another sharp lcd for the unit. But upon changing this lcd out, the picture is stuck on 4:3 ratio.. i have tried the disconnecting of the battery for a while, fuses... and there is no option to change it back in the settings..Someone told me if there is no where to change the settings that my video module only allows 4:3, but that cxant be because before i changed it out, it was working in widescreen. Any genius' out there...??

Welcome to E46Fanatics. I split your post out into it's own thread, this way you can get help with only your issue. Did you upgrade the firmware while you were replacing the screen? I found this -

1) Originally i must have missed the aspect ratio option in 'SET" via the tv tuner
2) regardless this should not have changed the whole head unit to be stuck in 4:3 aspect, this is a separate issue
3) when trying to re-code the NAV i selected Euro in Navcoder and this actually removes the option to change the aspect ratio in the 'SET' menu via TV Tuner
4) once i set the NAV back to australia the Aspect Ratio option re-appeared and i was able to set this correctly
5) I then changed it to Europe to remove the startup warning again and although the aspect option is gone again the TV Tuner has stayed in Widescreen mode
