Use something pointed, not your finger, also is the plastic still on the screen? It wont calibrate if its seeing multiple pressure points and the plastic cover can do that.

I will try again with the included pointer, I removed the screen protector film, but already added the anti-glare film.

Make sure that the anti glare screen protector isnt touching the plastic bezel anywhere or there will be a pressure point.

I was looking for ways to make the Market show more apps and came across this. Not sure how we would make this work in the Dynavin though but maybe others might have some ideas

It looks like the Dynavin would need to be rooted for that to work.

Not touching the bezel at all, and the pointer didn't do the trick, the problem persists. Heres a pic (phone shot, sorry) showing the screen, the only imperfection is it didn't stick well in the bottom left corner. Would this be the source of my problems? Any tips on getting it to stick? I applied it and wrung out most of the air bubbles by far using a credit card.

nice work there....but if its not calibrating you will probably need to take the screen protector off. What I usually recommend is getting a laptop screen protector and chopping it up into 4 pieces, then you have 4 chances to get a nice clean install without any tension on the screen. And if you are good you will have extras for when the one you are using gets scratched up.

I don't really see how the navigation sticking out could cause the touch not to respond. I would recheck all the connections and see if you didn't connect something properly. Otherwise if there isn't anything touching the screen and you cannot get the touch to work, could be be faulty unit?

Does the touch work the dynavin side at all?

he is having trouble getting the touch screen to calibrate on the android side....this is common when there is something on the screen, if it doesnt get laid down perfectly smooth it can put tension on the screen and screw up the calibration procedure.

typically when there are problems, they are the same over and over, and ive seen this screen protector one dozens of times, Ive not yet seen a touch screen fail. If he takes off the screen protector it will work fine.

I tried this today and it works. Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and updated Google Maps to the latest version 5.4 as well.

I have not use it, but after doing those steps the google navigation does not ask to install the TTS app anymore, I just assume that it will work, lol

My android dynavin package arrived at my local UPS distribution center on Friday. They couldn't find it. I'll possibly be able to pick it up Monday after work. Nice work on getting the offline nav apps to work.

Android Unit for sale

Hello everyone,

I recently bought one of those android units from Jeff but at the last second I sold my car and will longer be needing it so I put it up for sale on Ebay if anyone is interested. It's brand new in the box . I can't post the link to ebay in here but you can view this other thread which has the link.

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=842362

Thank you Jeff for allowing me to post here. To all those people who actually get to use the android units, I am jealous!!!! It's amazing all of the things you can do with it. MUCH better than WinCE 5.0!
