Hey Guys,

I have an E90 BMW (I know wrong forum), and I am planning to purchase the E90 Dynavin Model. Are you going to offer the android platform for the E90 model as well? Is that currently in the works? I don't really want WindowsCE.

Thanks

Haven't seen this on mine, but I have had it fail to boot once. Screen just stayed black the whole time. I rebooted and it started up normally.

Does the Dynavin have OpenGL 2.0 if not can we install that? I just got the Music Beta by Google invite and this look to be the best mp3 player for Android currently. The Music Beta app requires Froyo 2.2 (which we have) and OpenGL2.0 to run.

Check it out and put in your request for the invite too

Android includes support for OpenGL ES......http://developer.android.com/guide/t...cs/opengl.html
The internet is a wonderful thing.

Yes but it's up to the hardware to be able to utilize it. Most high end devices definitely support it, not sure if that would be the case with the dynavin.

If the beta is out, it's only a matter of time until it's released to the masses by xda or someone else. Then you guys can try it. It seems like a cool concept but I rather keep the SD card maintained myself so I wouldn't need to tether for music.

haha.....I was just going to post that but it looks like you beat me to it. That will make the android unit a lot simpler.

I saw something like this in this forum post, from 2010 it hinted at Google working on this. That would be awesome

this could be a dumb question but i thought it would be interesting to talk about, but would a capacitive screen be easy to install onto a dynavin.

I saw that you can buy them off ebay but i'm guess it is way more complicated than taking the old screen out and 'plugging' (i know that it wouldn't be plug and play) a capacitive one in.

Just thought i open this up for discussion

I would think it is possible if you have the tools to do the work. While I don't have my unit yet I don't think the added functionality would be worth the risk.

Sometimes while listening to music on the android side, the music would suddenly go mute but you can see it is still playing. I'll have to flick through the next few songs or wait about 30-40 secs for the music to come back on.. Anyone having this problem?

Oh also, what is the best way to fix bad antenna reception?

Thanks!

I would do it in a second if it can be done. If anyone does this and it works let me know

If you looked through the other posts you would see your answer. But i guess 57 pages is a lot.

- You can't use the bluetooth on the android side. It can only be used on the Windows side.
- And i'm not 100% sure but i think you can only connect the android through wireless, someone else raised the issue but i don't remember the outcome.

Thoughts? Jeff? How easy are these units opened?

I think thats way beyond any advice Jeff would give since it would void any warranty for the unit.
Why don't you open her up and tell us how you go.
