I would also be willing to donate following a finished product! This is great to hear we may soon have customs roms for this beast! I would mainly be interested in working bluetooth on the Android side!

thanks fella's yeah once a finished product is here, it would be great to have some donations. Bluetooth on the android side may be a task because that side has no bluetooth built into it, we could test a bluetooth dongle. Android is more finicky with a USB hub so to speak... I guess it might be worth trying it though... hmm, might just work if a driver is written for one.

Any solution as far as Bluetooth Rob, would be a good one, the limitation of not being able to even view the android side while utilizing Bluetooth
makes it impossible to use bluetooth if you rely on the GPS or android side of the unit.

Rob, would be willing to make a nice donation if you could offer any insight as why Sirius App is not working. An maybe come up with a solution. I could stream it via BT on my phone but then can't utilize the android side of the unit, which is the reason I bought the unit

you have loaded the latest update? I would think so since you just got it. Did you get it from Jeff? If you did then I would imagine you have the latest update, you may want to reload the update though. Should not be having that issue

Yes, I got it from jeff and just got it today. I've installed everything properly and plugged in the wifi adapter. Turned it on and no dice on wifi.

although you cant stream the Sirius XM app via bluetooth while using android you CAN plug the iphone into the ipod plug, press the home button to get out of ipod mode, and start the SiriusXM app, the audio will feed into the dynavin and you will be able to use android.

And of course if we can get the SiriusXM android app working we could just run it right from the dynaivn.....

good and bad news... The good news is that the wifi adapter was in fact plugged into the incorrect USB.. Now the HU will see wifi networks. The bad news is that it sees my droid x wifi network and when it goes to connect it says "connecting" then "scanning" then "disconnected" and the droid wifi then says "Out of range".. This kinda sucks.

Turn tethering off on ur phone. Turn wifi off on hu. Turn tethering back on on your phone, wait a min, them turn wifi back on, on the hu. If it doesn't automatically connect within a min or two, connect manually.

the ipod plug isnt mounted.....its a cable so I have mine in my eurotray, I just set the phone in there, you can do similar with the cupholders, have the cable come out from under the console down by the handbrake boot and set the ipod in the cupholder or storage tray behind the cupholders, or even just leave it tucked down in the handbrake boot.

Try rebooting everything and dont try to "force" anything. Just turn on your phone, activate the hotspot app, then turn on the dynavin and wait. Give it a couple minutes and see if it autoconnects. If you already put in your wifi key it should just connect.

If it still wont play nice try connecting to a home wifi or a public wifi like a starbucks or something. If that works fine then go to the droid forums and start looking for the issue there.

mejim that's exactly what my wife's droid x does as well. Mine connects fine to other wifi locations as mentioned above just not droid. There has to be something goofy with it but I don't think anyone's figured it out yet. I'm not sure what phones everyone else is using I have asked that question a couple times but got no response's. I know a couple using Iphone 4's and I've read a couple using HTC Evo's other than that not sure. My phone upgrade is due and I was kind of waiting to see but it looks like I'm gonna go with the Iphone 4.

Why dont we all just post what phones we have that are working, and what phones we have that dont, that way if you go phone shopping you will know which ones are confirmed to work.

Ill start:

Works: iphone4 (iOS 4.3 with ATT infrastructure wifi built in)

Does not work: iphone3GS (jailbroken running MiWy app, ad hoc wifi)
