What I mean is that I posted that I talked to dynavin and they said it wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. Why the partial file is on the site I don't know.

The point is that they have updated the file, it's called "release_20110915.zip" and it can be uncompressed as oposed to the previous one (August date).

Anyway, we will wait.

I will ask them to take it down until it's ready....as I said before, I'm not sure why it's even posted there unless they are using it for testers/dealers and don't realize you guys are watching it....

I tried it out last night. There are two things that I have noticed so far. First they made some changes to the GPS under settings. Seems there is a new option that logs or shows all the current gps reading. Hopefully we wont be experiencing the GPS lost problem as often now.

Second thing I notice was on the Android side the screen brightness is way higher than before. It looks very washed out while the radio side brightness looks the same as before. Radio same brightness level as I had before just Android side is really washed out. I had to turn down the brightness 10-15%.

This latest firmware is about 1mb smaller than the previous one too.

Yep, it works, I dont know if it is complete yet as dynavin told me it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow....but it does work.

The android portion is brighter but thats a good thing.....it now looks correct at the default brightness and contrast levels, previously you had to crank the contrast up over 40 to see the screen, not anymore. M3evolution, I suggest you set your screen settings back to the default and adjust from there.

Also there is a brightness adjustment in android that you can adjust to your liking....so now you can set the radio screens to where you like them, and then adjust the android screens to your liking.

When using the microSD provided by Jeff with the unit, it has updated the firmware. The flash program has shown all the progress and finally got the "get out the SD and reset" message. But now I only get a black screen when booting. Tried several times, waited for 10 minutes. Still black.
Problem after problem. :'(

This is why I let everyone else be the test subjects. I would rather wait 3 weeks to make sure Dynavin did not break anything, than down load it now
