glad the members who have posted up are excited and glad to have the new bumper on, looking forward to seeing everyone's refinished front ends from this epic price!

I have an '01 pre-face. From what I've gathered, my stock brackets will work, correct? However I'll need the brake ducts right? If that is the case, are the part numbers the poster posted a few posts above work with a pre-face as well? Just trying to get everything lined up for the body shop.

Since you have pre-facelift, your stock brackets will work. The correct part numbers for pre-facelift sedan brake ducts are:
Left: 51717894699
Right: 51717894700

You can go to RealOEM's website and type in your last 7 digits to double check the P/Ns.

Coupe and Sedan have different part numbers for the brake ducts, so thescott2k's part numbers will not work on yours. And plus he has a facelift e46.

I made this so everyone can see the difference between facelift vs prefacelift and sedan vs coupe part numbers.

Where is the best place to get these ducts (Left: 51717894699, Right: 51717894700)? My local dealer says $79.07 EACH!!!!

Your dealer is a greedy bastard, even MSRP for those is $58. Try http://www.bmwmercedesparts.com, they have them for $40 each. But shipping may take some time.

Sorry about that, we were getting too many PM and complains that we werent answering them timely, our emails get responded to quickly even on weekends so we just 'tunnel' people to that

I will be working on getting the bracket information posted up in an orderly and 'sense making' way, including graphics and diagrams from RealOEM but consolidated into one image, hopefully clearing up all of the bracket questions for potential and previous customers.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you should read what I posted in my feedback thread or at least talk to the e46fanatics admin, Tim, about this facebook thing so you can stop accusing me. There must be some misunderstanding in our communication. I just want the angel eye ring that I paid for. Do you not understand?

whats up with the brake duct thing?

If i have 05 330i with Mtech 1 already on it, I thought i read somewhere I will not need the brake ducts or brackets. Can someone confirm?

Just got mine painted and installed and I have to say I am VERY impressed with the bumper. There are a few very minor quality and fitment issues but nothing that you wouldn't expect out of a bumper for $175. All the lines match up and install was easy breezy. Even all the mounting holes are there to line up the fender lining and aero undertray. I would definitely buy this bumper again for the price and I definitely would not buy an OEM bumper for over $300 more. Thanks for the great deal. I'll try and get some pictures up soon.
