Thank you E46 fanatics! :)

I would like to thank this site that guided me through everything in tuning my e46. I purchased a 03 330i sport and did the following:

Full cooling system (waterpump, expansion tank, belts, sensors, hoses, t-stat)

Changing evaporator which took 7 hours!! The dealer quoted $2500 and ended doing it on my own through this site and research. Not too shabby for $300.
I replaced the factory with a Rein system which is more durable and also the evaporator valve. I love this stuff!!!

Many thanks you guys

Don't try this unless ur confident lol

I'm currently in a bmw program to be a level III mechanic so I enjoy putting stuff back together lol This is my fiance's car. I currently drive an e36 m3 cabrio. My previous whips were: e30 M3 and 911 porsches. Euros are my passion

It's up to you but I can only give you advice from what I know. At 99K it's a 50/50 chance. There is NO such thing as a lifetime fluid. My friend says it's best to drive it to the ground and replace the tranny later. You can get a fully rebuilt tranny for 3 grand installed which is not bad compared to the dealer (5 plus or more). We've seen trannys on e46s with 160K with original fluid in the shop and some failed at 100K. Like I said it your decision. Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention that I've seen threads where people flush the tranny at high miles. What they do is change the fluid every 5K at least three times. Make sure to change the filter everytime also. It's a bit of money but it might save your tranny. The detergent in new fluids are so strong that it will break more dirt and particles on gears and crevices. I've heard of this working but it's a new flush every oil change. Up to you.

Many thanks! I've had 4 porsches and a few e30s. Nothin but the best > The white 911 above was fully built from scratch. It's a 74 (smog except in Cali) with a steel 964 conversion, Fully built 3.0, advanced timing, headers, straight pipe, shorter gears, lsd, and much much more... It only weighed 2600lbs. I really wish I never sold the e30 M3. Someday I'll buy another.....
