Protein Pancakes!

I remember using this recipe from a forum member (m3bluewater?) a while back for protein pancakes and they were absolutely delicious!

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup oats
5 egg whites
dash cinnamon and dash vanilla
blended and put batter on griddle with blueberries, maybe some whipped cream or splenda on top
(~350 cals, 37 g protein)

What I am wondering is... After making these and putting them in a ziplock bag or container, how long can I keep them sealed and UNRefrigerated before eating them. I would like to take it to work. I'd probably eat them in 3 hours after cooking them. Lmk what you guys think. Thanks.

I would think they'd be ok 3 hrs later. If you don't post again i'll know you died and it's not safe.

depends on temperatures in your work environment...though I personally wouldn't eat unrefrigerated, cooked food that's been sitting around longer than 2hrs.

I'm guessing you don't have access to a fridge and microwave at work?

really? you don't eat dinners that last 1:30 hr +30 min drive home?

3 hours is fine, I still eat everything after 2 weeks in the fridge. My only rule is that if it smells so bad I can't eat it, I wont.

I've only gotten sick once in 4 years, so I'd say I'm saving lots of $$$.

no I don't....especially if it contains dairy (though I've found that Fried meats and boiled rice can last a bit longer)

I'll eat cooked food in my fridge for up to a week, if I think I will have it for longer, I just freeze it as soon as I make it.

I don't waste food ever.
