Sun shade stuck

My sunroof shade gets stuck about half way. Is there once I remove the window to see inside there? To see if there is something stuck.
Window shade was previously sucked in. Any help pleaseeee

There are some plastic clips that break. Need to pull the glass out to replace them.

DO NOT OPEN THE SUNROOF if the shade isn't able to move! You will snap the gear and drive belt which is not a replacable part.

well i got it fixed this morning.

what happens if the gear and drive belt break. Do you have to get a whole new "sunroof" system? (with rails and all) Do you have to pull apart the whole roof?
i have another e46 and you can hear the motor working but the window doesn't even budge or try to.

It is one whole unit.

Mine was stuck and now if it is open just a little the sunroof catches it and jams.

Is there a DIY to pulling off the headliner ? Is it hard to do? Could this risk my headliner?

My gear snapped, I just bought a used sun roof motor for $50 and it was good as new. The motor is behind the sunroof control console, easy diy.
