I asked this same Q awhile ago (on another bimmer site). Basically, I was scoffed at....told to open up my wallet, hand it over, along with my cheque book and just sign a blank cheque. I was told it was very $$, & never really did get a response as to where I could get new leather all pre-made to buy & bring to my local upholsterer...so I will be subscribing to this thread to see what response u get here.

If you don't want to pay the new price from a dealer your best is to have a look through Ebay for second hand parts.

I bought a "decent" pair of front seats at a salvage yard for $75. Took about an extra 30 to clean and condition the leather. Also had to dye a few faded spots.

I will say go with the used ones because i think that the new ones would cost more than your entire car. And the top part(ceiling) is called the head liner.

I pulled out the carpet, soaked it in cleaner and power washed it. Left it in the sun for a week, both top and bottom need to dry well. Then I had to dye some fades and stains as required. The door panels and dash were also cleaned and dyed to match the seats. The color was off by just a little so I did all parts.
As far as the headliner, my buddy did his Audi in plaid fabric, I almost did my E36 in a checker flag pattern.
I'll post pics of the work I did on my E36 when I get home.

Black leather in your location, Maxi? Hmmm?

Make sure you have gallons of Rejuvenator Oil shipped to you...too bad you can't just dig a hole in your backyard and use the stuff that just oozes up there!

Although, maybe you could. You want black seats? How about just pouring crude oil on the cloth you have? You'd end up with something like those oil impregnated Burberry (sp?) trench coat fabric? Slick, in the color you want, and waterproof!

Craiglist, I found one year ago a nice set in a good price for one of my classic car. Front and back seats that came from a totaled car ( $ 450 for the hole set ). But you need to be patient and look every day, it is not common to get those.

I use the two front seats and had one year trying to sell the back seat for a ridiculos price of $ 100 that looks brand new, no luck at this moment.

Try some of the BMW junk yards that yards that buy wrecked BMW's and part them out!
I believe there is one on the sponsors link of this forum...Might be the most efficient way to buy as far as getting everything from one place!

LKQ carries a huge line of BMW replacement interiors. They have set prices for most items. They are a huge firm with warehouses in the US and Canada. I got an entire mint leather E46 interior for cabriolet (front & rear leather power seats and 4 leather door panels) for $1200. They threw in the stainless trim.

Leather seats go for $125-200. Door panels $25-50 depending on demand.(I.e. E30 leather panels are at the higher price end.)

They strip entire interiors of high end cars and feed most body shops in North America.

that site sucks. i would gladly pay 1200 for a Mint set of interior. After searching over 15 parts and it coming back negative, no parts. I gave up on that lame site. Anyone else know a site that sells oem seats, door panels, carpet or basically anything else to turn a gray e46 325i interior from gray to black? im sure i could put other carpet and ceiling in other than oem at a car shop but i'd really like to keep the oem door panels and sport seats

I posted the link to get contact info - I agree the site doesn't show anything - if you want an idea of how much they actually have check out their listings on Ebay - or better yet phone them - they don't do a good job of listing parts online.

Right now they have over 700 interior BMW parts listed on Ebay

http://stores.ebay.com/LKQonline__W0...&submit=Search

For example: 01 BMW 330 330xi OEM Front & Rear Leather Seat SET $227 BUY IT NOW

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-BM...Q5fAccessories

If you don't like what they list on Ebay phone them and tell them what you need they will call you when they get it in. Geez you don't look too hard - $227 for E46 leather front and rear seats - perhaps another $160 for the 4 door panels - less than $400 for a complete interior.

Even all the tea in China won't get you new OEM E46 style leather seats. They are a special order from BMW and the electronics division that assembles them doesn't make that line anymore.

Complete replacement seats through a dealer were ordered as a custom item in a one-off format for a complete unit - the parts were regular orders so you could feasibly order individual parts and assemble them yourself.

If you were lucky enough to find a dealer warehouse somewhere that had them tucked away the list price for front and back seats would be more than the blue book value of your car - that's before door panels.

You might want to be more realistic?
