Sorry for being really big noob but how did you get the price to 115 before the coupon code? I add the e46 shrouds and projector and its 130 before taxes? and are the extended shrouds needed? thanks in advance i'm trying to buy this before the sale is over.

I think if you contact TRS they will exchange the shrouds it comes with for the e46-r free. Make sure you don't get the premium ones. The value ones I received were practically new. No physical damage.

Before coupon it's $105.(trsgiving10). After, the price is $94.50 before tax and shipping.

Still working on how to wire it to a separate switch. They also point down a bit but I'm not sure to how to raise them.

I didn't realize they are sold separately now. I remembered mine included the ring.

I thought it said the shrouds came with the centric rings? I placed my order earlier big thanks for helping me out guys.

Yea, I put in the order for shrouds and the rings. Maybe because I didn't buy my projectors from TRS thats why they didn't come with a shroud or ring. Just call and double check. You can try to ask to substitute the shrouds the projectors come with for the E46R value ones.

got shipping info today, projectors will be here by the end of the week!! AHHH so excited

Will be doing this very soon. Jake (and everyone else), how do you like the Xentec HID kit?

I would also like to know about the Xentec kits. Lots of members here seem to like them but reviews I've read are kinda 50/50 and I'm wondering if the ballasts from TRS are worth the extra dough.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but if I plan on doing this to my stock halogen housings with the Morimoto H1s and plan on doing angel eyes at the same time which option should I choose? Some sites for AE have options for Xenon or Halogen housings. Not sure what exactly I need in that department.

Any help on this would be appreciated and thanks in advance to all on this great forum.

Cant help you on xentec quality. Never used them. But I would try them, for that amount even if you are not satisfied you can use them in your fog's(with different bulbs). I am using DDM digital slim kit with D2S bulbs(because I did the OEM bixenon housing and projector retrofit). Has been almost a year, working without a hic up. If it craps out, I will give xentec kit a try with philips OSRAM bulbs.

You have to order angel eyes (corona rings) for halogens as you are still using halogen bowls.

Decided to pull the trigger on the Mini H1 Projectors and E46-R shrouds from TRS, as well as the HID kit from link provided by Solidjake. Pretty excited for what's in store for this lighting upgrade! All should go well.

So basically this is a good way to get HIDs if you're on a budget? What are the best HIDs to get and how much do they run?

Best are FXR projectors , around $150 with a real high quality ballast like Philips which is around $200 and osram cbi bulbs. That is lighting heaven.

Okay, would you recommend purchasing a kit from uminitza or piecing it all together? I feel like we've been through this...

Umnitza and TRS sell the projectors. The best h1 bulb if you want to pay 70 is the XB1 from TRS. ballast you can get the xentec if you're on a budget

My eBay headlights just came in today. Not worth installing them, right? As for price difference between Umnitza/TRS and piecing it all together, is it big?
