It truly does. I think this made my car look 5 years younger, and it certainly turns a lot of heads! I even had a few police looking at me today, but they all just watched my drive by and one gave me a thumbs up when I was stuck in traffic next to where he was speed checking.

Seems they are fine with the retrofit as long as you are not blinding people!

Order some new ones? Gives the car a suberb look. I got mine from ECS tuning.

Also got my relay in today. Question is, what do I do with the extra OEM connection that I will have now?Of course it will give me a bulb out because there is no bulb there! Is there a connector or something I can plug into it to cancel the error?

I'm thinking about painting the insides just like the OP, will that just reduce my light output of the high beams?

Just adding a few more pictures for your enjoyment.

Damnit, after taking the pictures I noticed it was tilted slightly towards the outside of the car... OCD kicking in...

My Ride: 323i e46 SOLD!
I'm in for this DIY now as well. Just looked at everything I need and found that the shrouds are on sale right now for $15! If anyone is planning on doing this DIY I suggest you buy them now before they go back up to $40.

The e46 shrouds can always be had for $15 if you buy the "defect" ones.

for those of you that adjusted the projectors, how did you go about that? Do the stock halogens have the knobs to turn the headlights?

Yes, there is a vertical and horizontal adjuster on the stock lights. Click the link to "taking the headlights apart" on the first page of this thread and you will see them.

Got mine done, and the cut off is sick! I just need to rotate the left projector a little bit, it's not completely horizontal which will bug me.

It actually needs to be raised a little, but I'll be correcting it sometime this week when I have the time. Besides that I'm very pleased with these projectors.
