It was 65 year old Ray Mason. Ray qualified it 9th and drove it up to 7th. Adam Pecorari drove it up to 4th and got into it with the Mini which broke the LF tie rod on the car. This was with 30 minutes to go and 20 of that was under yellow because the Insight car bought the farm in turn 3. With a bit more patience behind the wheel, we would have had 2nd without a problem.

I guess it was a decent showing for a 10 year old car with 36,000 race miles on it. I get frustrated as I have a podium car and it's the fastest 330 that has ever run in ST. No other 330 has even come close.

I love the carnage! I've lost 2 clubsport splitters and damaged 1...luckily they only cost $65 a pair. Not sure why I still bother painting them.

Two videos from AutoClub Speedway this past Monday. Infield only course, not Roval, making it slower and more technical without the 140mph (120mph for me) NASCAR oval portion. This is the "B" run group, normally high intermediate, but this day more a mix of intermediate (me 2 or 3 others) and high intermediate (all the other guys passing me). It looks like I could out-drive a few of the other cars in the corners but definitely behind most of the others in both talent and horsepower--you can see me missing a lot of apexes and the M3s running away from me in the straights. I felt like the only non-M3 out there, not counting the Corvette. Don't try watching all of both videos--you'll be bored to tears. But you can watch part of session 3 and hear the instructor correcting my line or session 4 where I drove solo and ran over an apex cone on the cool-down lap.

Session 3, with instructor

Session 4, solo

Oh yea...doing some off-road testing of my Bilstein suspension. Passed with flying colors! Failed left foot braking attempt.
