325I with 130k milles, noise on engine bay, fumes on cabin

Hi,

Lately my car has been really bad on gas and noticed that sometimes I smell gas fumes on the cockpit, I have check the fuel filter which I replaced recently, I was not able to find anything wrong except fer a weird noise on the engine bay. I uploaded a video on YouTube at first I though was the Vanos but the noise is coming from somewhere take a look a the video and maybe someone has a clue before I take it to the shop.

I have been doing some research and I was wondering if the problem could be related to the air pump. I noticed that the rubber pieces that hold it in place are broken and of course is the original one since the car was purchased in 2002; I have had the car for 4 years. this is an expensive repair; should my car give me a CEL, I have no warning lights on the dashboard..

Any idea!!!!

Bump...same exact problem. Same noise and gas smell coming from the engine bay. Any updates? Any ideas? Sidenote, my 2000 323i has 198,000 miles. Scanned it with a peake tool and it shows a fault code of d7 which is "after cat oxygen sensor". I doubt this could be it.
