Hmm, make sure you put the alternator and the idler pulley back in properly and double check the belt pattern, most likely it's wrong.

double checked belts, they are fine.
alternator is good as well

i can see the crankshaft pulley spinning but the belt isnt...would this mean tensioner needs to be replaced?

Does the tensioner have any bearing noise when you spin it by hand? does it move? or does it move extremely loose/freely

To be clear, the belts are routed as shown, correct?

The belt isn't spinning? Then I hope you routed the belt incorrectly and it's just loose...I don't think a free spinning tensioner would stop the belt...but a seized bearing would. Check all pulleys.

And, make sure your alt is also plugged back in properly and that the cable is also hooked up, and that the bottom bolt is actually into the right spot, the right way.

Now, simplest explanation is improper routing (tensioners themselves do go bad, but I really don't recall one being so bad that the belt didn't move).

Be careful checking mounting of alt. I messed up on that and somehow bolted it on, but failed to get the lower bolt through the back 'ear' of alt. It still bolted in, and it stayed there 4 months, working, until my mech caught my mistake!
