Control arm bushings opinion needed!

Please, take a look at the pics and let me know if the bushings are siting right or they are sticking up front? Is this normal or do they need to be pushed back? Why is this happening? Both sides are like this:

What kind of bushings are those?

Looks like they arms were pushed too far into the bushings, causing the bushing to pull out when everything was tightened down.

These are PowerFlex Bushings for Xi. How can I fix that?

I would undo the bolts that hold the FCAB bracket, then push the part of the bushing that sits around the control arm backwards toward the end of the arm a little bit. Use water not grease if it's tough to slide back on the arm. Make sure you do regrease between the two pieces of the FCAB.

When were those powerflex purchased? I didn't know they were purple now.

yea. the piece on the control arm is pressed on too far. what kubica said is correct. I just looked at mine and i have a gap between the end of the control arm and the bushing. Also, mine are black and i got them 2 years ago. Id check to make sure they are the right bushings as well.

Yeah, you have the e36 m3 bushings like me, right?

I know the really old powerflex first gen bushings were purple.

Yes, mine are all black with the hole centered. If those purple ones are original first gens, they held up great!

I purchased them Sep. or Oct 2010 I believe from Bavarian AS if I'm not mistaking but I think they had little black around them too... I'll make more pics ones I get to fix them to show you. I remember the hole was not in the center and it was on purpose.

What should I use to regrease?

Ok. Thanks guys!!! Tomorrow I'll be doing this. Would I need to do alignment after that or it should be fine?

^ Tough call. I would get one since toe will most likely be out on both sides. Depends on how much you like your tires I guess.

I went today to Auto-zone, Advanced Auto Parts, O'reilly and Wal-Mart to buy copper anti seize grease and none of these had it. So where should I look for it?

The Bentley Manual suggest that the distance from the the edge of the 1st bore hole in the control arm to the outer edge of the bushing housing should be 170 mm +- 1 mm.

What else could you use the copper anti seize grease for? Or would you only use it for the bushings?
