M52tuB28 intake manifold swap to M54B30 advice

Hi

I have recently bought a 330i intake manifold(M54B30). I am just wondering what do I need to do to make this fit my 1999 328ci
with a M52tuB28 engine? Do I really need a adapter plate or is there a way to make it fit either way? I guess I will use my
current trottle body that is in the car atm?

I have read the previous threads about this but just wanted to get this clear because I am
not an expert on this but I know my way around cars enough to want to try this.

best regards

My Ride: is awesome
Use your current throttle body.
you will need an adaptor plate from tuner motorsport. Although they are made to fit onto 325's so you have to drill 2 extra holes and grind a bit off your throttle body till it fits noice. Removing and installing the intake manifolds was more of a hassle then fitting the adaptor plate. You may want someone to help you with this. it sometimes gets a bit fiddly...

otherwise, the cars a new animal from 3,000 to redline

Turner is not the only option for an adapter plate. Email joerg at info@too-much-concepts.de no modifications necessary. Bolt and go

My buddy makes a nice adaptor that works with all four holes. Only mod you have to do is dremel the top plastic hole a little bit on the plenum. 75 shipped. Let me know if you want one.

Here is one on my 30 plenum. You can see the little part of the plastic that you have to trim but its no big deal. A couple people have gotten them and said that it and the upgrade was well worth it.

Looks like a very nice piece.

I dynoed 177 to the wheels with the B30 manifold and without my VANOS rebuilt. I'm getting one shortly over winter break so it should be around 190 in conjunction with my other mods.
