Business Development (What'd You Think?)
hey everyone, been a while since i've posted on e46fanatics in general but figured i'd ask some of you more seasoned members who are successful for potential ideas and/or what to express during an interview. i've recently been called in for an interview in regards to a business development position for a luxury hotel in downtown baltimore. my background is two and a half years as project manager for a parking firm roughly in the same location where i handled financial analysis, inventory control, customer/client relationships, payroll control, hiring, training, scheduling, and property acquisition. i feel as if i'm a qualified candidate for such though it's to my understanding that most who are in business development positions have a strong background in marketing, legal, strategy, finance, and/or proposal management/capture management.
the position entails in a nut shell attracting new guests, becoming more desirable to current ones, and overall increasing revenue/capacity, etc ... now with that said, what would be some good points to hit on during my interview? i figured nowadays with how popular social networking is create a facebook page advertising specials and promotions and research guest demographics and reach out/market to similar communities though am still somewhat in the dark, any suggestions as well as what i should expect? i'm still in college (have roughly two years left) and am majoring in business administration.
