The phone buttons as well? It's something I could live without, but it would make life that much better.

A lot of people are stoked at the sound they get just changing their oem head to an aftermarket.

That's even worse, with the poor hardware of the system, it's about as fast as a dead turtle.

Ok, you won't be able to answer the phone from your steering wheel but, at the same time, you don't need it to. You can tell that unit to auto answer after a few rings or by pushing the button on the head or on the remote control. It'll automatically resume your music and end the call when the caller hangs up.

2.2 is less resource intensive. Its not like windows where every iteration draws more on the phone. 2.1 to 2.2 nearly doubled the speed of apps on my phone.

You do realize that the Dynavin's computer is nowhere NEAR as good as any smartphone running Android right? The Dynavin won't be able to take advantage of its full features anyways, so what's the use other than for GPS?

Wasn't arguing it based on android being a benefit.

I enjoyed my Kenwood head unit with windows CE base except it was slow to boot, which was thoroughly annoying. The windows CE stuff was highly moddable though, so running not stock software was easy, and meant there weren't a lot of features to be desired.

I don't see Android having the same user community, but still, 2.2 should run better than 1.6.

And I assume it uses the factory mic or does it use the mic in the phone?

With the Android system, what would pressing Navi do? Because suppose I have a different Nav system app, how would I configure Navi to open that one.

Does Dynavin also support usb tethering from my android phone or can it only be Wireless tether

Did a little digging and found that a Swi-jack should work with that kenwood in terms of being able to bluetooth from your steering wheel. You will get s new parrot bt mic though which we mount above the rearview. The kdcx995 is dope. But no cd player.
