Where to place jack stand on an E46?
The car has those 4 square things under the car...Where do you jack it up and where do you place the stands?
any pics? Thanks all! Colin

Here's the Drill:
Needed: 2 Rhino or Similar Ramps Good Floor Jack 2 or Preferably 4 Jack Stands Jack One Front Wheel from the Side Jack Point Place 1 Ramp under That Front Tyre w/ the Ramp FACING OUT! Lower and Remove Jack Slide Jack from Side of Auto towards @ Middle of Engine Looking Carefully, One will find a Rubber Tube @ 2" in Diametre Square the Jack Pad on The Rubber Tube Lift the Auto sufficiently to Place Jack Stands under BOTH Sides Jack Stand Points are the Rubber Side Jack Points Remove Ramp and Lower Auto CAREFULLY on Jack Stands Front is Done Rear: Locate Differential Housing Immediately in Front of Diff Housing is a Metal Plate formed from the Juncture of 2 Bars running from the Auto's Sides Place the Jack Pad on the Metal Plate and Lift the Auto Again, utilize the Side Jacking Pads for the Jack Stands Lower the Auto CAREFULLY onto the Jack Stands Reverse the Procedure to take the Jack Stands Out.
