I Would Rather Have A ZHP Than an M
Just seeing if anybody shares this sentiment.
While the M is more raw, visceral, etc. I simply think the zhp sedan was the best bmw has ever come up with. This is coming from owning a 135, which beats both in technology and speed across the board. The zhp just has something special about it. My next car will be a 2005 330i ZHP 6MT.

I like my ZHP cause it's fast enough for me, handles well enough for me, and the parts are much cheaper to fix
![]() Also, the ZHP Mafia is the nicest group of guys and gals I've ever met. Fun times with them. When I graduate and have a good job, I plan on moving to an Alpina Last edited by Zell; 03-28-2012 at 01:37 PM. |

Seriously it doesn't matter what you drive and what you prefer. The fact that you have a 135 doesn't make your opinion any more credible than the 2000 323i driver on here, hope you know that ![]() For me, M3 all day long. Maybe others need 4 doors, maybe they like the comfort and less-raw feeling of the ZHP, or the fact that a 330 is much easier to maintain than the high strung M3. So your opinion is your opinion is your opinion, regardless of you owning one of the least expensive, smallest, entry level BMW's on the production line right now. |

Um, okay?
I love my ZHP, but the only reason I got it over a M3 was because I needed four doors. Otherwise I'd have the M.

I got the ZHP for $12K less and used the difference to upgrade it to run with the M3's. AND got the microfiber seats (only ZHP) that I dearly love in all seasons. Look at my garage for the rest of this story.

As someone that owns a "track friendly but street legal" E30 M3 i can tell you that my bar for performance BMWs is set high. I agree, my ZHP is by far is best DD car doing a superb job of balancing out all things that I personally look for in a street driven car. I've owned both newer and older BMWs inclusive of a N54 based E92.

I almost bought a ZHP but decided to go with the M, while I agree the ZHP is an awesome car and the power and handling were great, I don't regret the decision at all. Eveyerhing about the M I love, from the wider body to the exhaust note(dat rasp).. And with the fear of coming out as shallow, I love seeing the ///M badges everywhere i look around the car when working on it.

E46 M3 are not that hard to maintain. I don't know why everyone complains so much.

I also swapped the plastic cube interior trim for the Maple trim. The plastic looked too cheap for my tastes. ... [flamesuit]
