if its got more resolution and 1080i then it is no longer considered a "tv", its a monitor.

not gonna lie, I read that somewhere else and wanted to implement it in the first place I found it to be suitable. This was the first thread I saw.

To answer your question, if you can hook up your monitor to cable, like I can, you can enjoy it as a TV.
