Thanks Gary, just curious, is there any handling difference between the normal PS2 and the PS2 XL?

apparently they are getting discontinued, at least according to my local tire shop. They actually were able to match tirerack prices... which they usually can never do

Why ask why? The fact that the PSS would be cheaper than the PS2 has been hyped since before the tire's release. A reduction in price, most likely due to reduced materials or manufacturing costs, is simply one of Michelin's engineering accomplishments with this tire. And let me tell you, the PSS is a phenomenal street tire.

Again, please keep in mind that price is not indicative of quality. We pay less for a given tire = you pay less for a given tire.

We have not noticed a handling difference between the two versions.

A minor data-point. I've put about 500 miles on a set of SuperSports and can offer that these tires are awesome. Not only do they handle amazingly, they are much quieter than the worn PS2's I removed.
